Accent Addition
ACT by Vidal recognizes the beauty of various accents. Instead of focusing on accent reduction to eliminate our participants’ native accents, we concentrate on adding Canadian accents to our participants’ repertoire through “Accent Addition” training.
In 8 weeks of “Accent Addition” training, our instructors teach participants how to add Canadian accents to their repertoire. We equip newcomers with a set of tools to:
- Communicate clearly
- Minimize people from asking you to repeat yourself.
- Speak with confidence when speaking to staff, management, and community members.
Workplace Communication
Do you find communicating with others a challenge? Do you want to know how you can enhance your communication skills?
In a 1/2 day or full-day of training you will learn:
- “You cannot communicate”
- How to navigate through communication barriers
- Various communication styles
- Plus so much more to enhance your ability to speak up in front of others.
Intercultural Communication
Whether through technology or our physical workplace, we can interact with people from around the globe on a daily bases. As we meet different people, we are encouraged to learn and celebrate what makes us unique.
In a 1/2 day or full day of training you will learn:
- How to improve your intercultural communication
- Understand what diversity and culture mean and the terms associated with them
- Share the value of cultural diversity
- Recognize our privileges
Conflict Resolution
Not all conflict is bad. In the 1/2-day or full-day training session you will learn
- What is conflict?
- How to effectively communicate through conflict
- The different ways of navigating through conflict
- How to dealing with difficult scenarios in the workplace
Change Management
Change is a natural part of life. From the time begin and end life we are constantly going through changes. How we navigate through life’s challenges is what sets us apart from those that thrive and those that are paralyzed through change.
In this 1/2 day or full day training you will learn:
- How to recognize and navigate the feels associated with change
- Describe the benefits of change
- Identify tools and techniques for coping with change in the workplace
Career Counselling
Whether you are launching your career for the first time or transitioning into a new career, the unemployment roller coaster can be overwhelming. While going through in your career transitioning process, we work with clients to provide
